Description
The Subcontractor Performance Scorecard is an Excel-based evaluation tool for scoring and comparing multiple subcontractors working on a construction project. Each company is assessed across 10 criteria β quality, health and safety, programme, environment, commercial, housekeeping, resources, cooperation, document submissions and communication β with each criterion scored on a 1 to 10 scale.
The system automatically assigns RAG (Red/Amber/Green) status based on total scores and includes a critical fail flag that triggers automatically if a subcontractor receives a zero score on health and safety, regardless of their performance in other areas. This ensures safety-critical underperformance is never masked by strong scores elsewhere.
A ranked league table dashboard sorts all subcontractors by total weighted score, and individual radar chart profiles visualise each company's strengths and weaknesses across all 10 criteria. Analysis charts enable cross-company comparison on specific criteria, making it easy to identify which subcontractors are leading or lagging in particular areas. The template is designed for project managers, commercial managers and supply chain teams managing subcontractor relationships on multi-trade construction projects.
