Description
The Engineers Instrument Calibration Log is an Excel-based calibration register for field instruments used on construction and civil engineering projects. Each instrument is recorded with asset tag, serial number, manufacturer, model, category and calibration interval, and the system automatically calculates calibration status — In Date, Due Soon or Expired — based on the last calibration date and the configured interval for that instrument category.
The register covers the full range of site instruments including total stations, GPS receivers, dumpy levels, gas monitors, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, thermometers and flow meters. Certificate reference numbers are recorded against each calibration event for traceability, and the configurable due-soon alert window lets you set how far in advance instruments are flagged as approaching their recalibration date.
The compliance dashboard shows overall fleet status with counts and percentages for in-date, due-soon and expired instruments, plus monthly snapshot trend tracking so you can monitor compliance rates over time. The template is designed for site engineers, survey teams and commissioning engineers who need to demonstrate instrument traceability and calibration compliance for quality audits and handover documentation.
