WWTW Long Lead Item Tracker

The WwTW Long Lead Item Tracker is an Excel-based procurement management tool designed for wastewater treatment works projects with significant MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation) and ICA equipment packages. The full item register tracks each piece of equipment from initial enquiry through purchase order, manufacture, factory acceptance testing, delivery and installation, giving the project team complete visibility of procurement status at every stage.

A linked supplier register stores contact details, QA certification status and performance history for each vendor, and an issues and risks log captures procurement problems, mitigation actions and responsible owners against specific items or suppliers. Issues are cross-referenced to the item register so the impact of any delay or quality concern is immediately visible.

The dashboard surfaces critical procurement KPIs including items due in 2-week, 4-week and 8-week lookahead windows, late delivery counts, total purchase order value, factory acceptance test pass rates and average lead times by equipment category. The tracker is designed for project managers, procurement leads and commissioning engineers on AMP-framework and capital delivery wastewater projects.
